A coach (from the English coaching – training  coach is a specialist conducting training) is a consultant and trainer all rolled into one, who, using coaching technologies, helps in eliminating psychological problems and thereby helps to improve performance in achieving goals, effectiveness and quality of life in any of its fields (career, finance, family, relationships, health, personal development).

Coaching is a new area of psychological counseling based on the psychology of optimism and success. The principle of coaching is based on the principle: every person is able to be, have and do whatever he wants.

The difference between coaching and all types of counseling is the realization of the potential of the client himself under the guidance of a coach, since the potential of each person has no boundaries.

Coach’s place of work is organizations that provide coaching services; HR departments of large companies; private practice. As a rule, work in the office, receiving and advising clients, conducting individual and group coaching trainings. Full-time and part-time counseling is possible in the framework of telephone or Internet coach services.
The work of a coach is not recommended for people with diseases: neuropsychiatric; cardiovascular; chronic infectious; auditory and visual analyzers; vocal apparatus.
The professional activity of the coach is connected with the delicate, sometimes filigree, work with the personality, his inner world, therefore, the coach must have a psychological education. But psychological education alone is not enough. The future coach needs to complete additional specialized courses that teach the methodology of conducting coach sessions, provide knowledge of the features, stages and structure of coach sessions; knowledge of psychological analysis techniques and personality effects. In addition, a deep knowledge of the philosophy of the individual, sociology, and the foundations of jurisprudence will help the coach.

Occupied segment of the labor market

Depending on the field of coaching, there may be positions: coach, life coach, career coach, sports coach, business coach, corporate coach, group / team coach, executive coach, executive coach, supervisor coach .
The specificity of the profession provides opportunities for self-employment, working in private companies. Coaches make good money. A coaching session even for a novice coach costs $ 50, but experienced coaches charge between $ 100 and $ 200. But there are those who can take 500 or even 1,000 dollars, but these are famous coaches who work with business owners, and this work is limited to either a series of intensive coach sessions, between which there is a break of 6-12 months, or, on the contrary, occasional meetings once a month.
The labor market for the coaching profession is still in its infancy. There is no steady demand, and there is no clear understanding of what coaching is yet. Citizens do not have a culture of resorting to psychologists, and almost everyone who does something with people is called coaches. It’s easier to sell your services. So a “business card coach” from a professional coach can only be distinguished by a professional. Therefore, in the near future, with a clear understanding of the profession of a coach, the demand for it will be significant.
