Service Technician
Job Purpose:
The Service Technician’s primary responsibility is to provide comprehensive, effective and efficient execution of the valve repair and parts replacement process and ensure work product is delivered on time and to customers specifications. The Service Technician performs a variety of skilled tasks in the construction, installation, servicing, repair, maintenance and testing of valves, actuators and related equipment. He or she will also be involved in assisting customers with troubleshooting and conducting root cause analysis on valves. Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally, sometimes at short notice.
Responsibilities:
- Experience in a service-oriented work environment
- Ability to problem solve service-related issues
- Ability to use Microsoft Word/Excel/Databases
- Must be self-directed, have excellent initiative and organizational skills
- Exhibits a strong ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energy
- Working understanding of ISO compliance regulations, codes, standards as well as other international codes/standards
- Understanding of material applications for variety of industrial/service applications
- Understanding of manufacturing processes/workflow
- Excellent math and Algebra
- Ability to accurately read, review and interpret manufacturing and electrical designs, drawing and schematics
- Fluent in Russian and English; Kazakh would also be desirable.
Skills:
- Technical diploma in mechanical engineering or a related discipline
- At least 5 years post qualification relevant experience required
- Familiar with tools and equipment required to perform daily valve repair duties
- Experience with repairing various valves and actuators, whether pneumatic, hydraulic or electric
