Head of Industrial Relations

Competences:

       Negotiation, Influencing, Problem solving, Leadership skills

       Knowledge & understanding of the Kazakhstan Labor legislation  and other applicable laws (including

International Labor related Conventions) and CLIENT N.V. HR policies and the application of company policies within the legislation.

       Must be able to exercise discretion and good judgment, with an ability to understand the effect of decisions overall in the company.

       Must have a thorough understanding of collective bargaining resolution and experience in Collective Bargaining at the Table;

       Must be thoroughly knowledgeable in various international human resources standards in the areas of compensation, employee relations, general benefits, employment and staffing practices and organizational development.

       Practical experience in managing complex IR cases, including redundancies, restructures, disciplinary and grievance cases and complex case management 

       Adept Engagement and Communication skills, ability to communicate effectively externally, and internally with all levels of the workforce, from MD down to field operator ;  

       Delivers Outcome, Analyses & solves problems;

       Good time management skills, prioritizes effectively and delivers in full;

       Ability to meet tight deadlines, and juggle multiple issues to conclusion;

       Resilience & personal effectiveness; Emotional Intelligence; 

       Ability to work within a multicultural environment with various staff types.

       Business acumen (knowledge), Technological savvy;

       Maintains up to date knowledge of general HR practices

       Applies creative problem solving to address business needs & issues

       Managing political and social pressures  when making decisions

       Conflict Analysis and resolution

       Critical Legal thinking;

       Professional behavior and courage

       Delivers customized I&L solutions for organizational challenges

       Provide proactive, clear, concise information to others in verbal, written, electronic and other communication formats

       Excellent Computer literacy (MS office and etc.)

       Language proficiency in Kazak, Russian and English

Requirements:

       University Degree (HRM, Social Sciences, Legal preferable)

       At least 8-10 years previous experience with a medium to large company in the multicultural, corporate  environment  (preferably within Energy/O&G)

       including experience in negotiating with government and local authorities

       5 years of in a senior role  managing teams across multiple sites/locations
