2.1. Read and understand the original material to ensure that the translation will follow the overall meaning of the original

2.2. Use the Internet as a research source at every stage of the translation process

2.3. Use specialist dictionaries, thesauruses and reference books to find the best possible translation

2.4. Research legal, technical and scientific phraseology

2.5. Expand his/her own vocabulary and knowledge in areas related to the company’s business; read related specialist books and other materials

2.6. Retain and develop specialist knowledge on areas of translation

2.7. Keep in contact with the sender of the document in order to resolve translation-related issues

2.8. Inform the Office Manager about the progress of the translation and any related problems that may arise

2.9. Knowledge of methods of compiling, organizing and analyzing data

2.10. Makes priorities for his/her scopes of works as per urgency matter

2.11. Good knowledge of business, legal, engineering and technical related terminology
