A translator is a specialist who translates spoken or written language from one language to another.

For an effective translator of technical texts its necessary: profound knowledge of the original language, including phraseology, knowledge of the basic terminology of modern science and technology in the original language and in the target language, proficiency in the written language of the target language, basic literacy, knowledge of computer and computer programs at a level sufficient to work with translated texts, knowledge of the Internet to quickly receive and send translated materials, the ability to find information on the Internet, the ability to work with dictionaries and reference books, preferably knowledge English in connection with a large number in the modern economic and financial sphere of English-speaking terms, names and abbreviations.
A translator translating from a native language into a foreign language, knowledge of the written form of this language is required in those areas to which translated texts belong, at a level close to the level of a native speaker, as well as a high philological culture and literacy in this language.
