A translator is a specialist who translates spoken or written language from one language to another.

Most modern people know not only their language, but also other languages. But for effective communication with native speakers of another language, you need a professional, competent, efficient and clear translation. Therefore, we need specialist translators. In a general sense, translators are divided into oral and written.

There are two main types of interpreters – consecutive and simultaneous.

Consecutive translation is carried out at business negotiations, at events where some of the participants speak one language and some speak another. In such cases, the speaker makes his speech with slight stops so that the translator can formulate a phrase in the language of the audience.

Simultaneous translation is performed using specialized simultaneous translation technology. The complexity of the work of a simultaneous interpreter consists in the need to quickly understand and translate what has been heard, and sometimes to speak simultaneously with the speaker.

An important quality of the translator is the ability to create an atmosphere of mutual understanding and partnership.

In addition to professional simultaneous translation skills, a high level of active knowledge of the original language and the target language is necessary, quick response, clear diction, ability to concentrate, noise immunity, mental stability, good physical shape.
For a consecutive translator, in addition to good skills in phrasal or consecutive interpretation, you need calm, sociability, the ability not to get confused in public, mental stability, good physical shape.

 For an effective translator of technical texts its necessary: profound knowledge of the original language, including phraseology, knowledge of the basic terminology of modern science and technology in the original language and in the target language, proficiency in the written language of the target language, basic literacy, knowledge of computer and computer programs at a level sufficient to work with translated texts, knowledge of the Internet to quickly receive and send translated materials, the ability to find information on the Internet, the ability to work with dictionaries and reference books, preferably knowledge English in connection with a large number in the modern economic and financial sphere of English-speaking terms, names and abbreviations.
