Job Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and manage all Reservoir Management Department activities in Dunga oilfield, including Reservoir Engineering and Geosciences.
• Leading and managing c.a. five direct/indirect reports.
• Reservoir surveillance and management including identifying, executing and evaluating data acquisition and surveillance programs, in order to optimize and enhance hydrocarbon production and recovery and reduce key reservoir uncertainties.
• Reservoir and field development planning studies, screening and evaluation, liaising closely with Projects and Engineering Department and Economics.
• Hydrocarbon maturation studies for all five identified reservoir intervals.
• Lead and coordinate annual Total reserves booking process.
• Support for production optimization activities.
• Production forecasting.
• Planning and reporting both internally and to Partners and Kazakh Authorities.
• Liaise with Total HQ & Technical Centre and internal TEP Dunga departments for long term business plan.
• Identifying Exploration/Appraisal opportunities of the wider Dunga contract area and beyond as required.
• Prepare and manage department budget providing input to both internal budget process and budget process with Partners and Kazakh Authorities.
• Representing TEP Dunga across all JV and RoK subsurface technical interfaces including Chair of Technical Committee.
• Prepare and coordinate mandatory regulatory documents including Dunga Field Development Project, State Reserves reporting, Flaring and Emissions Projects etc.
• Involvement in inspections and audits conducted by various RoK authorities.
• Managing contracts and contractor performance for contracts held by Reservoir Management Department
• Lead continuous improvement of work standards, procedures and processes.
• Follow-up on department KPI's, to drive individual and organizational performance and continuous improvements by aligned and efficient leadership.
• Employee development, performance management and appraisal.
Qualification requirements
Mandatory:
• Undergraduate degree in Petroleum Engineering or Geosciences. Post-graduate qualification preferred.
• Fifteen years’ experience in Oil & Gas industry.
• Fluent communication in English (verbal and written).
Advantage:
Experience with an International Oil Company and international experience will both be highly regarded.
Previous experience in leading and managing teams.
Proficient user of subsurface modelling tools (e.g. Petrel RE, KAPPA, Petex, etc).
